Ecological Sundays in Rome continue with a new calendar. As required by national and regional regulations, five days of traffic stop have been scheduled. It therefore provides the block for cars and motorcycles in the new green band ZTL in the hours 7.30-12.30 and 16.30-20.30.
The stop affects all motor vehicles except those for which there are specific derogations from the order of the Capitoline Council. Ecological Sundays have been introduced with the aim of preventing and containing air pollution, reducing the number of cars on the street and raising awareness about air quality and the responsible use of energy sources.
The first ecological Sunday will affect the day of Sunday 19 November 2023 except for athletes who, participating in Rome21k, can circulate after filling out a form (the form can be downloaded by clicking the button below “athletes waiver form” ) to show at the moment in case of request.
